Mark Pedersen brings his unique mix of solid university training and practical field experience to Network Overdrive in the role of Technology Explorer.

Always on the edge of the latest developments in software, Mark introduced the other founding members to Linux, the world's quickly emerging leader in Intel-based UNIX operating systems, and helped plant the idea of a dynamic team of innovators who would change the shape of Internet consulting. That idea has blossomed into Network Overdrive.

With first class honours in Information Technology from Australia's prestigious University of Queensland, having taught courses in Human Computer Interfaces, Software Testing and Project Management and done his Ph.D. in the application of Language Technology to Asian languages, Mark has a deep understanding of the fundamentals of information technology and a sharp eye on the emerging trends of the industry.

While being well respected as an academic, Mark has a solid commitment to practical results and has consistently been engaged in industry, heading up the implementation of a city-wide public internet access project for Brisbane, and providing consulting services to local ISPs in the field of software development, Web programming and Internet security. Over the past two years, Mark has been consulting in the field of Software Testing, with a particular focus on Usability Testing, seeking to bring the best research knowledge and industry practice to bear on the challenge of producing high quality software.

He couples his breadth of training and experience with a vision for the deployment of Internet services across the globe that fuels Network Overdrive's focus on Asia, where new and innovative solutions will be the edge required for the leap in the Information Age.
